In-Store Consultation

Get your project started immediately!  Give us a call so we can block off some time and really get creative.  We will have our meeting area ready for you with sketch paper, pencils and markers, and time to devote to your room.

For this meeting to be the most productive, please bring the following items:

  • A drawing of your room with dimensions
  • Photos of your room
  • Fabric and paint samples (for the items that will remain in the room)
  • Magazine or on-line photos of rooms you like. Please make a note about what you like in each photo.
  • An open mind – our job is to present ideas that you probably have not considered yet. We want to move you out of your comfort zone and create the best room possible.
  • A budget for the project. Let’s make the best use of everyone’s time by understanding the budget up front.  We can accommodate most budgets if we know  the parameters as we start the project.
  • There is no charge for an in-store design consultation

In-Home Consultation

Sometimes it is best to be standing in the physical room to start a project.  We get to experience the adjacent spaces, understand the volume of your room, and really get immersed in the project.  As designers, we love to understand how we can help you live better, live more comfortably, and live in a more beautiful space.

  • We will measure your room and create a floor plan
  • We will talk about how you use the room
  • We will discuss what is not working with the room currently
  • We will review any photos of rooms you like and discuss how that can apply to your room (Pinterest can be a great source for inspirational photos)
  • We will schedule the next appointment, at which time we will present:
    • A floor plan with furniture placement
    • Fabric and finishes
    • Window coverings
    • Accessories, lighting, artwork, area rugs
  • There is no charge for an in-home design consultation if you are purchasing the furnishings we present (or at least a majority)
  • If the in-home design consultation is above and beyond the products we sell, we are happy to help but there is a charge for this additional level of service:
    • $95.00 per hour, or
    • $450.00 per room, or
    • $1,500 whole home
  • And as mentioned above in the in-store design consultation, please have a budget ready to discuss.

New Home/New Build

Customers who are building new homes often ask for our assistance during the planning and selection process. Our fee is $1.50 per sq. ft. and includes: Plan review with furniture placement to understand scale (two revisions included) Finish selection (two revisions) Kitchen/bathroom cabinet plan development and cabinet specification (Fieldstone or generic – two revisions) Lighting/reflective ceiling plan and product specification (two revisions) Floor selection (two revisions) Basic electrical plan showing outlet/switch placement (two revisions) Interior/exterior color selection (two revisions) Our Team I feel fortunate everyday to have an amazing group of designers working at Harrison’s. They each have their own style, but as with any good designer, can pivot and work with any style the customer wishes. It is the job of a designer to present their client with ideas that they would not have thought of on their own. I hope you will come into the design process with an open mind and see where the process takes you.
