We have been working with Harrison’s for the past seven years on several projects. Kevin and Mel are awesome! Mel, who is our designer and project manager on our current project (a complete redesign of our newly purchased home) is a perfect fit.
We were recently in the market for some new furniture for our living room. We stopped in Harrison’s and really liked the style of their furniture as it was exactly the “vibe” we were looking for. We were also very impressed with the quality of the furniture (made in the U.S.). We worked with their designer Keri, who helped us select appropriate fabrics to go with our existing living room colors and furnishings. This was a huge help as their selection of fabrics is so large it was nice to have the help of someone who is experienced and knowledgeable. Overall, we were extremely pleased with every aspect of working with Keri and Harrison’s. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
The end result of Keri’s vision and expertise is evident in virtually every room in our house. Her understanding of our taste resulted in fabric window treatments and furniture recommendations that were simply outstanding. It didn’t end there. She also helped us with picture placements and plant purchases! Keri took customer service to a whole new level. Kevin introduced us to a Scandinavian sofa brand called Stressless – the perfect blend of streamlined elegance and comfort. We recently purchased a custom sofa from Melanie. From the minute we walked in the door Melanie was inviting and helpful. After reviewing pictures of our space, she worked with my husband and me to create a custom couch that incorporated our every desire. Harrison’s was gracious enough to provide samples to take home to be sure that the design matched out esthetic. The delivery process was easy and the delivery services was professional and respectful. In fact, our sofa can early which was a nice surprise before the holidays. After visiting several furniture stores in the tri-city area and not finding what we were looking for, we were told to stop in Midland Furniture Garage by a friend. When we arrived, we were not disappointed – beautiful pieces and a very friendly staff. One of the designers worked with us to find the perfect set of furniture for our oddly shaped living area, suggested some beautiful options for leather, and we had our custom furniture delivered in 2 months. The service did not stop once the furniture was ordered, we emailed back and forth about layouts, delivery schedules, and design. I truly appreciate the customer service and attention to detail. The drive from Birch Run was completely worth it and we will be going back!

Shopping at Harrison’s West Design + Furniture was a delightful experience. I was greeted by designers each time I walked into the store. Each designer was not only personable, but knowledgeable about their products and about design concepts. They were incredibly helpful as I struggled to choose cortrectly. They led me through all of the considerations including style, color, fabric, design, functionality, and price which make furniture selection such a challenge. This is the furniture shopping experience I want every time! I am so happy I found them and will always be a customer!
Shopping for furniture was overwhelming us, until we walked into Harrison West. They have quality, comfortable furniture and good promotions, which we took advantage of during our visit. But the absolute best part of the shopping experience was when Pat Lewis walked up to us and offered to help. Pat was calm, professional and friendly. She was the perfect compass to help guide our decisions especially with regard to choosing colors, fabrics and patterns. With her patience and advise we were able to make the purchase easily. Pat Lewis is AMAZING! She came to our home for a design consultation, and I immediately knew she was going to be invaluable to help us create a living room we would love. She provided us with many options to consider and some of them I never would have come up with on my own. And it is those options that I loved the most! She is a true gem and knows her stuff! The living room project was just the beginning as we have continued to do several other rooms in our house because the living room experience was so positive. Pat is a pleasure to work with and all of the Harrison West staff in the store and the delivery team were also great. I highly recommend Pat Lewis if you are looking to design a new space or reinvigorate an existing one. You won’t regret it!
I love this place! If you are looking for something a little different, please please please check them out. The service is great and selection fun. Rivertown Mall should consider themselves lucky to have such a great upscale tenant.
Harrison West is my “happy place.” Simply put, it is a fantastic store. What’s more though, is the customer service. If you are looking for a designer who’s able to “divine” what you need and magically make it appear when you need it, you don’t have to look any further than Pat Lewis. She is outstanding. I worked full-time as an interior designer in SE Michigan in what now feels like a past life, but still dabble as time allows so you might surmise that I’m incredibly fussy. And you’d be right. That anyone can live up to my high standards is a feat in itself. Honestly, I often wonder if Pat possesses extra-sensory powers. If not extra-sensory, then her power is certainly extra-special. Maybe it’s all in how well she listens, because she can translate an abstract idea into a tangible object presto. We’ve been working to update our cottage on the west side of Michigan for the past year and Pat has been by our side during the entire process, always with a trout full recommendation or quick response to our requests. She truly makes finding the perfect piece of furniture or décor easy and fun. Bottom line, you’ll find mirrors here, but no smoke. Crystal balls and lots of charm, but no rabbits. Your wish is Pat’s command. I hope you find her magic touch as helpful as we have.
